How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Digital Comms officer and Social media officer the intern will be responsible of developing content for social media (focusing on multimedia content) specifically for YouTube Shorts and Instagram based on the instructions of the supervisors and the overall digital communications objectives. Specific tasks are highlighted below:
Go through the overall digital communications objectives, understand them and help the team achieve them
– Discuss the monthly content plan with SM officer and Digital comms officer contribute to gathering and creating content and coming up with ideas
– Execute ideas for Reels and Shorts that might require contacting other youth, recording and editing
– Help SM officer in monitoring content performance, moderation and report back to digital team (preparing performance reports)
– Follow up on digital trends and report back to digital communications team with new ideas and suggestions
– Support digital team in admin and paperwork needed for digital communications such as facilitating work with different sections and suppliers
– Abide by UNICEF communications guidelines and values
To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
- Education: Completion of a bachelor’s degree preferably in social media, marketing or digital marketing and have graduated in the last two years
- Experience: Managing social media accounts or having a high interest in social media and digital media and latest digital trends. Good knowledge in using social media editing techniques to create multimedia content. Good knowledge of Microsoft tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent writing and research skills.
- Language: Fluency in English and Arabic (verbal & written) is required.
